Article: Serving Caviar the IKRAA Way

SERVING AND TESTING CAVIAR

Serving Caviar the IKRAA Way

A Ritual of Elegance and Restraint

If you are going to have caviar, have the best and plenty of it. Caviar should never be an afterthought. It is the star of the experience, and the rest of the meal should defer to its quiet indulgence.

How to Present Caviar

We recommend serving caviar in its original tin, unsealed only moments before serving and presented atop crushed ice in a crystal or glass bowl. Each guest should serve themselves using a mother-of-pearl spoon, preserving the taste and honoring the ritual.

There are two schools of thought when it comes to accompaniments:

  • Classic garnishes: buttered brioche or grilled bread, chopped egg yolk and white, onion, and parsley
  • Purist approach: avoid lemon, capers, or eggs that may distract from the subtle, layered flavor of fine caviar

At IKRAA, we invite you to try both—and discover what enhances the experience for you.

How Much to Serve

  • For a tasting experience, allow up to 100 grams per guest
  • For two: a 4 oz tin or our Caviar Tasting Set featuring Imperial Osetra, Kaluga Premium, and Signature Reserve
  • For four to eight guests: 8 oz tin
  • For events and larger gatherings: our 1 lb tin
  • For weddings and grand occasions: 1 kg or 1.8 kg (4 lb) tins in original metal format

Storage & Freshness

With proper refrigeration and kept sealed with the original IKRAA rubber band, our caviar will retain its full flavor for up to two weeks after delivery.

  • Store in the coldest part of your refrigerator
  • Never freeze; freezing affects texture and depth

For the Collector

We occasionally offer Golden Osetra in limited quantities. To be notified when available, please join our newsletter.

Final Note

Caviar is best enjoyed with intention and simplicity. Serve it cold, let it speak for itself, and share it with those who appreciate its quiet luxury.
